KSU Sturgis Library

YLH completed a major renovation to Sturgis Library at Kennesaw State University. The project included gutting of the lower 2 floors to create all new Information and Learning Commons, a complete replacement of all HVAC systems in the entire 5 story facility, and removal, abatement and replacement of the building's curtainwall, storefront and other window systems. The renovation also created a new entrance addressing the heart of the growing campus. The project was lauded for giving Georgia's third largest university the current technology, infrastructure and student collaboration space the campus needed. YLH used a phased implementation strategy that allowed the Library to remain in operation through the renovation process. McMillan Pazdan Smith Architecture designed the project.
